sCene 3 is a series of new media-centric events organised by the Centre of Excellence for New Media, the first of which is the New Media Academy, where secondary school students from around the island came to Innova JC to learn various digital media disciplines from industry professionals.

The Academy regular garners participation in numbers of over 200. This is followed by the National New Media Challenge, where the students put their new-found skills to practice by creating digital productions as part of a nationwide competition. The running theme of the Challenge is always to further the social good.

This year, we will be helping to promote the Youth Olympic Games. sCene 3 then culminates in the Festival Di’Arts. The Festival offers sharing presentations from new media practitioners and industry professionals, both local and international. The Festival is part of our drive to create Communities of Practice, so that we may continually innovate and propagate the use new media in teaching and learning.

sCene 3 remains our main thrust to push new media practices to educators, functioning as new media’s springboard to innovation in Singapore’s education network.
